I cannot tell you how many times I have heard this. Also how many people have glazed over at the mere mention that I teach yoga. I have learned over the years to accept this. I will never try and ‘convince’ someone to do yoga. Yoga is not a convincing sport…:-)
However what I do believe – is yoga is ALL about connection.
Connection to YOU, your body, your mind, to others, to your inner most desires and thoughts and to your truest self
If you do not connect to the person guiding your class, none of the above connection will happen – trust me, I’ve spent many an hour in a class being annoyed by someones accent, phrases, or just how they are. It is normal and life. We are not meant to connect with everyone, but with some.
So…If you have tried yoga and not connected, try a different class, different style, different teacher, different time in your life. I promise you, you will find your connection. xxx
